Valley Mills

Vineyards

Quality Texas Wine - Waco, TX

Our Story....

We dreamed of starting a vineyard on our 33 acre plot of land in Valley Mills, Texas.

After many months of preparation, in the spring of 2007, we planted our first acre of grapevines on a rocky hillside.

Those vines flourished in our fossil-rich, limestone soil. So we planted more, and then more.

In late 2010, we opened our Winery and Tasting room (halfway between Valley Mills and Waco).

We now have six Texas growers (in addition to our own vineyard).

We are proudly producing fantastic, award winning, Texas wines.

Come try them for yourself!

- The Bagnasco Family

Our winemaker

One of Marc’s passions in life is to make spectacular craft wines from the ground up. Marc could see the bright future of the Texas wine industry, so he uprooted his life, and moved to Texas in 2010, so he could get in on the ground floor. His wife, Kinsey, loved the idea of moving closer to her family who lives in Woodway, and shortly after they were blessed with a beautiful son, Soren.

Marc has been making wine and helping grape growers (viticulturists) around the state since 2010. He trained under Dan Gatlin as the Assistant Winemaker for Inwood Estates Vineyards and The Vineyard at Florence. As of October 2015, we are proud to have Marc join the Valley Mills Vineyards team as our Winemaker (oenologist). He will be doing much more than making our wine. He will be assisting in our Estate vineyard as well as working closely with our network of dedicated grape-growers. In addition he will be teaching wine classes at the winery and representing our products out in the community.

Marc is committed, optimistic, and extremely hard working. His passion for wine is palpable. He is an integral part of our business and an asset to the Texas wine industry. The Bagnasco family shares Marc’s passions and his values and consider ourselves blessed to have him join us. So come by the winery and help us give him a warm welcome!
